Description: She likes to wear darkened spectacles and heavy clothing, no matter the weather. She carries a battered sai and tarnished club as well. She wears her chestnut hair up in a very large beehive style do. She wears large thick round spectacles.
Personality: She likes to be helpful to her clients. She likes to prescribe proper advice to her clients. She is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.
History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Masseuse. Recently the stress of being a Masseuse has made it difficult for her to sleep.
Motivation: She'd like to take her coworkers down a peg.

Description: A woman with a cold, calculating air about her, she usually wears her brown robe and has her scythe always slung over her shoulder. She has shaved her head bald. Her skin is flawless and her gray eyes scan people very quickly.
Personality: She runs her personal life as if detached from it. She organizes appointments and outings based on perceived benefits she will get from it. More though she will beg to come along on any journeys. She will attempt to stowaway on any ship she can in the hopes that it will get her further away.
History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Matilda was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. As a young adult she joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. She's also a talented Layabout, but doesn't like to broadcast it.
Motivation: A strong sense of loyalty to Human people; and she has comitted a past crime that haunts her to this day

Description: This slender man stands about 6'4". He is well dressed, but even with his fine clothing he looks run-down. His blonde hair is smooth and relatively long. His blue eyes are desperate and heavily dilated. He has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.
Personality: He is calm most of the time but flees social interaction. He loves his children and doesn't want them to worry about him. He loves to share his dancing with anyone who is interested.
History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He has never given up on his dancing dream.
Motivation: An old rival family wants him found.

Description: She is an exceptionally muscular looking western young adult. She is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers her face most of the time. Beneath her clothing is a huge mess of scar tissue. She has styled her black hair well, parting it to the right. She has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. She wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.
Personality: She hates Humans with a passion. As such she is filled with self loathing. She also is a firm believer in the womanly ideal.
History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. In her 16th year, her parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Katherine alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.
Motivation: To prove her worth to the world; and many illithids want her driven away
