History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He became part of the deadliest team of assassins in recent memory. A botched job caused the group to be disbanded. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

History: She was born in a small mountains village. She always admired martial-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To reunite with her absent mother.

Personality: She is extraordinarily passive and rarely speaks, let alone speaks her mind. More though she will beg to come along on any journeys. She will attempt to stowaway on any ship she can in the hopes that it will get her further away.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and she seems to be bored by most things
