History: Born in the east to a Soapmaker, Jocelyn learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Soapmaker for the past few years.

Description: This fat northern man has a bulbous nose and typically wears a sleeveless long coat of deep white leather and dull red iron scale mail. His skin is also unnaturally pale. He has no hair. His violet eyes dart from person to person.

Personality: Simon is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Tanner arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls.
