History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. Reynard was born on a far northern island where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Slave Trader. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and to prove his worth to the world

History: Born in the south to a Fisher, Bertram learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Fisher. He was granted martial powers by his dying sister.

Personality: Joan is a sociable creature first and foremost. She loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. She can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. She is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and she wants revenge against giants
