When his father died while fighting drow, the young Conrad began to lead the lost caravan. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge.

She lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: She got into the Banker business at a young age. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently she has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: She'd like to take her coworkers down a peg; and sabotage a competitor
