Description: She is a physically imposing dark-skinned woman. She wears a shirt and pants that are bristling with pockets overflowing with maps, compasses, and other navigational equipment. She wears her hair in dreadlocks. She has a dull look in her gray eyes.
Personality: She is shy and timid. She has not had much interaction with people and is skittish around them. She invites people to come help in her community garden.
History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. When Melissa reached her early adolescence her Human father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions. She has became unsatisfied with her lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Personality: She loves justice and goodness and right action. Anyone who does not fulfill this criteria perfectly will no doubt get a lecture from her. She is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Human in existence. She receives visions of the future at random moments
History: She was born in the north. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the north were limited. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
Motivation: She desires power and/or immortality; and many dire rats want her driven away

Description: 6'6" and muscular, this western man dresses in tan turtlenecks beneath a black coat with white slacks. His long golden hair is drawn into a two foot long braid. He wears an eyepatch.
Personality: He hates dire rats. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He is a thrill seeker, he laughs at people and throws down challenges. He is highly competitive and combative.
History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He took after his mother in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his mother taught him to defend himself. When his mother died while fighting dire rats, the young Randal began to lead the lost caravan. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.
Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and meet up once more with his childhood friend

Description: He is a paragon of his species. He is larger and stronger than most Humans. His skin is light but he possesses many yellow ritualistic tattoos. He prefers to wear the grand gowns of high society. He carries his fan with him everywhere and carries himself as the perfect gentleman. He has a long blonde beard with little hanging trinkets. This green eyed westerner is not easily forgotten.
Personality: He likes to be helpful to his clients. He likes to prescribe proper advice to his clients. William enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.
History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his father. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.
Motivation: To be a Dilettante again; and sabotage a competitor
