History: Avice lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her mother was very strict, and drilled into her lessons on being the perfect lady. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
