History: Born in the south to a Carter, Godfrey learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Dean was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region.
