History: Katherine was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Katherine grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Katherine. She has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Unemployed.

History: Emmeline lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her parents were killed by giants in a raid when she was still a young child. The giants captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

History: When he was but 5 years old his parents immigrated from the west. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
