History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Patrick fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: Ernest is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He works hard and plays hard.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Ernest was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and he feels kind of lost in life

Personality: She has two modes she varies between. On the job she is cold, steely and emotionless. Off the job she is a party animal. She pushes her goals aggressively. She is also a coward if confronted.

History: She was born into a rich family. In her 16th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her mother impaled in their home, and her father beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Her attire stands in sharp contrast to her axe, which is beautifully polished and possesses an ornate carving of a card on it. Her chestnut hair is slicked back into a classic pompadour. Her eyes, though not visible through her cowl, are hazel.

Personality: She never swears and excessively uses polite adverbs when speaking. She spends most of her days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There she gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: Emeny was raised in a hard working conservative environment. She found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 6 years.
