Description: With black face paint in a stripe pattern across his face, he wears dull green sweaters, loose white pants, and alligator leather shoes. Beneath his sweater he keeps a concealed ceremonial dagger, just in case. His golden hair is styled in orderly dreadlocks. He is baby faced.
Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.
History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the east. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Layabout. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.
Motivation: Sabotage a competitor.

Description: A middle-aged man, he wears many layers of old clothing at all times, and is pretty ugly. He wears a small hat to cover his moderate length black hair. His eyes are blue.
Personality: He likes to brag about his accomplishments and constantly tries to beat others to the punch. Further he is a bit of a stoner and is frequently out of it.
History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Ernest alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.
Motivation: A deep hatred of dire rats.

Description: He wears tight fighting clothing, which leaves very little to the imagination. His attire stands in sharp contrast to his club, which is beautifully polished and possesses an ornate carving of a card on it. His golden hair is singed and shortened. His gray eyes are desperate and heavily dilated. He has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.
Personality: Bernard speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. He is however nostalgic and wants to reunite with his old comrades. He has some compunction and patriotism and will work for the government before all other clients.
History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Bernard grew up listening to his mother's many stories. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.
Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and nothing but the best is good enough for him

Description: With grey face paint in a stripe pattern across his face, he wears a simple burlap shirt and baggy pants. He conceals his greatsword with his veritable burlap sack of a shirt. He keeps his long blonde hair kept up in a rat tail. His eyes are hazel and he is always smoking a pipe.
Personality: He likes to make people angry or surprised. He is kind towards other men and children and will generally offer men help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to him.
History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Ruler work with an outfit from a few towns over. Ruler work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He became a Ruler soon after.
Motivation: To be a Bricklayer again.
