History: Born in the north to a Beggar, Katherine learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. She helped her father out around the business and became quite the natural. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. He's also a talented Spice Merchant, but doesn't like to broadcast it.
