History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Ernest was born on a far eastern plains where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Carter. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

History: She was born into a rich family. Her father was a soldier and died while she was still young. Mary was left her father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
