History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. After a long history of fighting, Juliana and her spouse have recently divorced.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Bernard was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Over the years he perfected his riding and shooting skills. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.
