Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Heward's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. More though he will beg to come along on any journeys. He will attempt to stowaway on any ship he can in the hopes that it will get him further away.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: She is inclined to make off color jokes and interpret anything that could be construed as such as innuendo. She is able to fit into much smaller and tighter spaces than normal.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.

Motivation: Her religion dominates her actions.

History: Born in the north her family was never financially stable. Emma abandoned her home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. She survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. She did whatever it took for her to survive. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: She wants revenge against drow; and she desires power and/or immortality

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. His father was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.
