Personality: She considers herself the protector of her home. She feels this is her duty and calling. She has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.

History: She was born in the east. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Joan grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Joan. Recently she has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

History: Margery lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. She always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. His childhood dream was to be a Merchant, but he was a colossal failure. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: He is wracked by social anxiety; and to find somewhere to settle down
