History: Gerald lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and doesn't want to be a cartwright and was forced into it by his family

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. Through the years after Melissa was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Melissa's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She has since married many spouses, only to have them die. She claims to not be responsible.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and she desires to right it.
