History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. In her youth she was part of a gang. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. Being a Carter kept her interest for a while, but then she became depressed and bored. So she turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Motivation: She is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and she feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help

History: Miles hails from a village terrorized by illithids. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: She is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of her strength. She works very hard to maintain that gentleness. A fanatic, her devotion to her small selection of gods is unquestionable. She claims to be doing their will and will base all her actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: She was born in the east, but her parents moved at a very young age to the south. As a young adult she joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
