Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. History: Born in the west to a Barber, Hugh learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. Like his father and his brother before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Barber. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: To pay off his debts; and balancing his hectic life and new slave trader responsibilities is difficult
