History: Agnes was born with her mother's beautiful face. In her 10th year, her parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Agnes alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: The child of northern immigrants she idolized her mother. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the north were limited. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Butcher they were divorced and she won custody of their son. She worked as a Dilettante, and she later adopted a second son.

Motivation: Regain custody of her son.

Personality: He speaks before he thinks and is too direct. He is a ruthless business man, a trait he acquired from his mother.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. While he appears to be a normal Human, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the east; and to prove his worth to the world
