History: Aline was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her mother was employed at, doing general labor. Her childhood dream was to be a Miller, but she was a colossal failure. She has achieved small success as a Painter.

He is a bit of a macho man and will challenge people to random contests of strength and skill, and invite them to random hunting and fishing trip.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Rolf alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.
