History: Bertram lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. After coming to the age of reason, Bertram took it upon himself to study the divine arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. History: Simon was born in the north. At a young age he loved to build and create. Through the years after Simon was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Simon's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
