Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Ella was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her mother was a mechanic, and taught her how to fix just about anything. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
