Personality: Patrick wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Paladin, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He also is a firm believer in the manly ideal.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Patrick was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: He's looking for his big break; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and he desires to right it

History: She was born on a small isolated farm. A serious injury left her father unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm father. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She made a deal with a demon which lead to her current lot in life, and she's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and to pay off her debts

Personality: She is erratic and paranoid. She believes dire rats are coming to abduct people. She tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. Her first spouse was a Healer, they had one son, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Human artifacts is her passion; and many dire rats want her driven away

Description: This western woman wears a robe, a symbol of magic around her neck, and a flail on her belt. Her clothes are grease stained in places. Her golden hair has been sun bleached extensively. This brown eyed westerner is not easily forgotten.

Personality: She is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of her strength. She works very hard to maintain that gentleness. She is cautious and jumpy. She reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her mother. Giselle was born on a far western plains where she grew up under the tutelage of her mother, an expert Mayor. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Giselle fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
