Description: He does not wear sleeves and tends to eschew shirts when he can avoid it. He is portly but not overly obese. His auburn hair is cut short with large spiked bangs in the front. His eyes, though not visible through his cowl, are green.
Personality: Stoic and calm, he prefers to meditate than take action. He is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.
History: Born in the west to a Bather, Heward learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Human activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. He has worked as a Bather like his father before him.

Description: His left thumb is blackened and bruised, but otherwise he appears quite healthy. He dresses in blue turtlenecks beneath a red coat with tan slacks. His silver hair has been sun bleached extensively. His blue eyes lackadaisically let the world flow into them.
Personality: He is overprotective of those who hire his services. He is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Humans.
History: He was born on a small isolated farm. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the desert to a summer home near a large cave. He would wander through that large cave and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the desert due to the painful memories there. Patrick took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up warhammer and armor he uses now. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Layabout for hire.
Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Human artifacts is his passion; and human compassion

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.
History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. He worked as a nervous Guard and found it very stressful. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Guard for the past few years.
Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Guard responsibilities is difficult.

Description: This tall, slender woman wears brown painted combat armor at almost all times. Her chestnut hair is kept up in a ponytail inside a Stetson hat. She has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. She wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.
Personality: She is irritable and easily angered. She is a bit of a bully and is not afraid to use her stature and powers to intimidate and hurt. She moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep her interest for a month it is impressive.
History: Mary lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. In her 13th year, her parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Mary alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has since lost track of the people in her past.
Motivation: Marry her sister to traveling adventurers; and an old rival family wants her found
