History: Born in the east to a Mason, Herleva learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. Being born in the east, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the east for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.

History: She was born on a small isolated farm. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Beatrice grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Beatrice. She has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. After a long history of fighting, Emmeline and her spouse have recently divorced.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. His father had died from a severe disease that was unknown to the village doctor. Heward was heart-stricken from the event, and his mother started working long hours to provde for them.
