History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the south. Ostracized due to the necromantic powers of his oldest brother, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Trey embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He has all his life been fascinated with painting.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Because his father participated in the massacre of their homeland, dire rats burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the east, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his mother from journeying east to reunite his family. After a long history of fighting, Trey and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: She is shy and timid. She has not had much interaction with people and is skittish around them. To her fellows she is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Beggar. She has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Beggar.

Motivation: Further expansion of business; and several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge

Personality: She is overprotective of those who hire her services. She is submissive, is generally bored by everything, but will take part in whatever people ask of her. She is by nature obliging.

History: Giselle was raised in a hard working conservative environment. She worked as a nervous Bather and found it very stressful. She has achieved small success as a Bather.

Motivation: To be a Weaver again; and she is unsatisfied with her job
