History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Kyle grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Kyle. He became a Bather soon after.

Some 5 years later her spouse died after the birth of her son. Heartbroken, Jacoba never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her son whom she trained as her mother had trained her before.
