History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Painter. He tends to his Painter job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

History: Katherine was raised in a hard working conservative environment. She has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Navigator for hire.
