History: A child with a great deal of music talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Adam and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. His father took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Personality: She has two modes she varies between. On the job she is cold, steely and emotionless. Off the job she is a party animal. Emma is a bit of a follower. Usually she is manipulated by her brothers into helping them out, but recently she has become more of a free agent.

History: The child of western immigrants she idolized her mother. At a young age both her parents were killed in an accident. Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother.

He has a small bristly mustache and wavy blonde hair. Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.

Personality: He likes to make people angry or surprised. He does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: He got into the Shepherd business at a young age. Through the years after Anselm was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Anselm's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg; and retire the richest man in the north
