History: He comes from a rich northern family. After coming to the age of reason, Roland took it upon himself to study the martial arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He was granted martial powers by his dying brother.

Motivation: Many giants want him driven away; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and he desires to right it
