During her travels, Hadwisa and her party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Hadwisa discovered the rest of her party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Hadwisa fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing her own horrible transformation.

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. Her father was a soldier and died while she was still young. Ahlyssa was left her father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Carter. She now owns her own business.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and she desires to right it; and to end her boredom
