History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Scribe hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Katherine grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Katherine. She used her abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.
