History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Her father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her father was legitimate. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 11 years.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He took after his father in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his father taught him to defend himself. When his father died while fighting illithids, the young Nicholas began to lead the lost caravan. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
