History: Everard hails from a village terrorized by brigands. As a young child he wandered into the woods despite his father's warnings against it. Afterwards he claimed he had encountered brigands who tried to eat his hand. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the giants.
