History: Bertram was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark.

Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. He plays an instrument quite well.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Fortune-teller work with an outfit from a few towns over. Fortune-teller work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He became a Fortune-teller soon after.
