History: He was born on a small isolated farm. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Sage they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Tanner, and he later adopted a second son.

Her mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

History: Beatrice hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. In her 16th year, her parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Beatrice alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
