History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. Katherine was born on a far southern plains where she grew up under the tutelage of her mother, an expert Masseuse. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His parents were killed by giants in a raid when he was still a young child. The giants captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and a deep hatred of giants
