History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Beatrice was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Now she works as a writing tutor during her time off.

History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.
