History: He was raised in a island tribe. A gifted student he started as a Tailor, but he got bored and became a Beggar. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Beggar for the past few years.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He took after his mother in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his mother taught him to defend himself. When his mother died while fighting orcs, the young Gerald began to lead the lost caravan. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the north; and revenge

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Human artifacts is his passion; and he has decided he is irredeemable
