History: Everard was born with his mother's beautiful face. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Everard fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: When she was but 5 years old her parents immigrated from the north. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and she wants nothing more than to rejoin the army
