Personality: He has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Bookbinder who has hired him part-time. He has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Frederick was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.
