History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. Through the years after Manfred was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. She used her abilities to travel the world and help people.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Humans in Godfrey's homeland. Godfrey decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.
