History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Ralf was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He has dedicated himself to building a better world.

History: Born to a Engraver, her mother struggled to pay the bills. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Brewer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She was granted divine powers by her dying sister.

Motivation: A strong sense of loyalty to Human people; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions
