History: A child with a great deal of painting talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. Through the years after Richard was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Richard's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: Her father raised her in a mountain cabin. She found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature halberd.
