His father had died from a severe disease that was unknown to the village doctor. Lewis was heart-stricken from the event, and his mother started working long hours to provde for them. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Navigator they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Weaver, and he later adopted a second son.
