She keeps company with all sorts of races to see how they think and challenge minds foreign to her own.

History: She was born in the east, but her parents moved at a very young age to the west. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Humans in Katherine's homeland. Katherine decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. She was granted necromantic powers by her dying brother.

Personality: He loves telling others what to do and how they should feel about things. He loves being with his children and actually smiles when they are around. He would do anything for them. He dislikes his ex a great deal.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Regain custody of his son; and doesn't want to be a sailor and was forced into it by his family

Personality: She hates illithids. She views them as having robbed her home of its proper glory. She spends most of her days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There she gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. She always admired psionic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark.

History: Heather was born the youngest of three triplets. Ostracized due to the arcane powers of her oldest brother, she and her siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. She has since lost track of the people in her past.
