Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm father. Some 9 years later her spouse died after the birth of her son. Heartbroken, Anne never married again. History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
