History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Cory was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered singing. He has never given up on his singing dream.

Afterwards she claimed she had encountered giants who tried to eat her hand. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Regain custody of her son; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and she desires to right it
