History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Mary was born on a far southern plains where she grew up under the tutelage of her father, an expert Carpenter. She now mingles about in high society.

History: Ernest hails from a village terrorized by goblins. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Ernest alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Roland was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs
